New WD-Brand My Passport Line of Drives Enables Consumers to Store and Carry Even More Photos and Videos
At IFA 2019, Western Digital Corp. (NASDAQ: WDC) introduced the refreshed WD®-brand My Passport™ and My Passport for Mac drives. The award-winning My Passport line now features the slimmest 5TB portable hard drive in the WD brand portfolio at just 0.75 in (19.15mm) thick. The stylish design fits in the palm of a hand, yet has space to store, organize and share a tremendous amount of photos, videos, music and documents.
“For years, consumers have trusted the My Passport drive to store their content, from meaningful home videos to important documents, wherever their journey takes them,” says David Ellis, vice president of content solutions, Western Digital. “People want more storage in a smaller package and designs that complement their personal styles and the latest devices. Our goal is to offer best-in-class solutions that keep users’ digital lives backed up and preserved so they can enjoy their precious memories for years to come.”
The stylish new drives feature a fresh look and are available in capacities up to 5TB*. The My Passport drive comes in cool new colors including Black, Blue and Red, while the My Passport for Mac drive is Midnight Blue. The My Passport drive is formatted for Windows® 10 and will feature a USB 3.0 connector that is compatible with USB 2.0. The My Passport for Mac drive is formatted for macOS Mojave and will have a USB-C™ connector to deliver plug-and-play storage out of the box.

All of the new drives are built with Western Digital reliability and come with a three-year limited warranty.
