Power Off Different….?
So Apple decided with the iPhone X that you can’t just hold one button down like a dedicated power button in previous iPhones to power off the phone. For the iPhone X, you need to use two buttons to power it off. I’m not sure why they would go this route, but in case you don’t know how to I’ll give you the steps here and the second way to power off the phone.
- Software Power Off
- Open up Settings
- Navigate to General
- Scroll to the bottom and Select Shut down
- Slide to power off
- Physical/Hardware Power Off
- Hold Down the side button and the volume up key
- Select between Slide to Power Off and Emergency SOS
Remember for doing No.2 and using the physical buttons to power down the iPhone X; you need to hold them down. Pressing them quickly will just take a screenshot.
