Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel Watch Unboxing and First Impressions
Unboxing and First Impressions
This year’s packaging for the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel Watch is pretty cool. I was surprised to find the Pixel Watch included in the box. While the packaging is similar to past years, it includes the essentials you’d expect, including a charging cable and transfer adapter for the 7 Pro, and a wireless charging pad and an extra wristband for the Pixel Watch.
I decided to set up the Pixel 7 Pro first. The initial setup process was straightforward, leading me to the data transfer feature, which I wanted to utilize this time. I transferred everything from my Pixel 6 Pro to my Pixel 7 Pro, except for photos and videos. I already have them backed up to Google Photos, so I didn’t need them downloaded again.
Setting Up Fingerprint Security
While my data was transferring, I set up fingerprint security. This year’s fingerprint setup process seems to be significantly improved compared to the Pixel 6 Pro. It guided me through the steps, ensuring I got everything on the sensor for a better reading. I added four fingers to ensure comprehensive coverage and a reliable setup. So far, it’s been fast and accurate.
Pixel 7 Pro Initial Experience
After answering a few basic questions, I finally got into my Pixel 7 Pro. I customized the theme for a slightly different feel. While I waited for all the apps and data to transfer from the cloud, I decided to set up my Pixel Watch.
Setting Up the Pixel Watch
As soon as I powered on the Pixel Watch, my Pixel 7 Pro detected it and prompted me to download the Watch app. Once installed, I was able to navigate through the initial setup, which involved setting up the relationship between the phone and watch. The Pixel Watch then performed a quick update. After the update, the Pixel Watch guided me through its basic functions, including swipes, gestures, and button controls.
Overall Initial Experience
The entire setup, from transferring data to setting up the watch, was quite seamless. I’m excited to explore the Pixel experience with the 7 Pro and Pixel Watch. Let me know your questions, comments, or concerns in the comments below. I’ll see you in the next video, and thank you for watching.
