YouTube On Blackberry Storm 9530

youtubebbshot thumb1 YouTube On Blackberry Storm 9530

Looking through an extensive Google Search I was about to find an OTA (Over The Air) download link to install the YouTube application for the Blackberry Storm.  I have provided the link below and all you will need to do is go to your browser in the blackberry and click on the link below. BWOne.com has a mobile browser friendly page  A follow up video on how to do so will be posted later.

I clearly followed your instructions on how to install the YouTube app for my Storm 9530. When I go to watch a video using the YouTube app I get a “PlayerException:Cannot open tunnel Cause:java.io.IOException:Cannot open tunnel” error?

Please help. Is this error common?

when you watch youtube videos do they play clear??

  4. storm77 says:

No not really. The quality is really crappy to be honest. I’ve see the same video side by side with an iPhone vs. my Storm and the video quality is so much better on the iPhone. I found a solution to the earlier problem I had. I deleted the first Youtube app I downloaded, waited about a week and reinstalled it and everything worked fine.

Hey Bowman! I just upgraded my Storm 9530 to the 5.0 OS…my you tube icon was missing, so I searched online and came up with the link to this page. When I tried it on my phone, all it would do is say YouTube For BlackBerry Storm 9530 in big capital letters, and you could not scroll up or down because that was all that was on the page. I have been reading some of the things other people have written, and I have come to the conclusion that this You Tube app will not work with OS 5.0 and that’s why the icon disappeared…is that right? And if so, do you know if they plan on making it compatible?
