Nintendo in the past was a money-making machine with the Wii and the Nintendo DS but times have been rough for the Big N with them losing a reported $923 million the first half of the this fiscal year. You can point the blame to many things with the extremely weak Nintendo 3DS sales resulting in a price drop and we discussed where 3DS failed in its launch, the low Wii hardware and software sales with it near its end-of-life cycle and the terrible reception the Wii U received when it was announced.

Nintendo is also projecting to lose another $264 Million going into the end of this fiscal year in March 2012. Not a good time now for Nintendo. They hope to try to stop the bleed with their heavy hitter titles for the Wii and 3DS coming this holiday 2011 that make also pick up some hardware sales. This does put pressure on Nintendo to fix sales of the Nintendo 3DS and hit a homerun with the Wii U by convincing the masses that the product will indeed work and will bring new innovated games to the platform.

Nintendo announced today that Hulu Plus will be available on their Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 3DS. You’ll be able to stream thousands of TV show, TV Movies and Clips available on Hulu (We assume anything from Sony will be blocked). There is no set date on when this will show up but it will fall under your Hulu Plus subscription with is $7.99  per month. So if your paying you should be all set to go.

The 3DS will also be getting 3D video capture at the end of November. You can can record up to 10 minutes of video and create your own stop-motion animation videos on the handheld console.

Hulu Plus: With Hulu Plus, Wii and Nintendo 3DS users will be able to instantly stream thousands of TV episodes – including the entire current season of popular shows like Modern Family, Glee, Dancing with the Stars, The Biggest Loser, House and Grey’s Anatomy – from premium content partners like ABC, Comedy Central, FOX, NBC, MTV and many more. Hulu Plus also offers access to classic TV favorites likeLost, Battlestar Galactica, The Hills and hundreds of popular and award-winning movies. Hulu Plus is available through a separate subscription fee of $7.99 per month with limited advertising.
Nintendo 3DS System Update: At the end of November, a new system update will deliver a range of cool new features and enhancements, including 3D video capture, which will let users record up to 10 minutes of 3D video and enable people to create their own 3D stop-motion animation videos. The update will also add new puzzles to the StreetPass™ Mii Plaza™ and a new dungeon to Find Mii. Other features will be announced in the future.

Games Coming to the Nintendo eShop:

• Freakyforms™: Your Creations, Alive! lets players create creatures and bring them to life. This game is all about creation, customization and exploration. Available in November for $6.99.
• Developed with 3D game play in mind, Pushmo™ asks players to solve more than 250 puzzles by pulling and pushing blocks. Players can also create their own custom puzzles. Launches in December.
• Swapnote™ gives Nintendo 3DS owners the chance to send 3D messages to their friends via the SpotPass™ and StreetPass features. Users can hand-write messages in 3D and also include picture and sound. Available for free download in December.
• Dillon’s Rolling Western™ is a 3D tower defense game that blends action and strategy. It features an armadillo who defends an Old West town rendered in 3D by literally rolling over his enemies. Launches in Q1 2012.

3D Animation: Starting today, Nintendo 3DS owners can visit the Nintendo eShop and, for $1.99, download a new 3D “Thriller” video that features singing and dancing by their favorite Shrek characters from DreamWorks Animation.
3D Music Videos: Fans of the Nintendo Video service on Nintendo 3DS will soon see the arrival of new 3D music videos, including “Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls)” from Foster the People’s Torches album.

DreamGear shows us their Tri Mount to stack your Kinect, Wii Sensor and PS3 Eye Toy at E3 2011. The Tri Mount can attached to both the wall and  on the back of most  televisions. Nintendo Wii U Announced

We are here live for Nintendo’s E3 press conference live blogging you all the details from the big event. What will be the name of the new Nintendo Console? What big titles will be coming to the 3DS and what else will be coming from the Big N.

Nintendo announced today that one of their servers got hacked this past Sunday but there was no valuable customer or employee information at risk.  The hacker group Lulzsec posted online what they claimed was a server configuration file they said on twitter that the attack was “just for lulzl” and they hope that Nintendo plugs the security hold. This breach comes just before Nintendo is set to release its 3DS online shop. We also hope that they get everything secure and tight and not put themselves in the situation that Sony is currently in now.  Be sure when you hear of this hacking attacks to double check your data and if you don’t use the service anymore change all the information and/or kill the account completely.

It’s that time of the year again. The gaming world all comes together in sunny Los Angeles, CA for the biggest interactive entertainment convention the Electronic Entertainment Expo also known as E3. The fun beings tomorrow with press conference from all the big name companies in gaming from Sony, Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo and more. We will be live coverage of the event as it happens for those who can’t stream the video from the conferences who offer it. We will be covering events from Ubisoft’s conference on Monday and Nintendo’s conference on Tuesday plus more. Its official the Nintendo Wii has dropped down to a MSRP of $149.99 on May 15. It will include Mario Kart Wii and the Wii Wheel bundled in which will replace the current bundle that has Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort in it. The Wii Wheel, Wii Remote Plus and nunchuck will match the console color you choose to purchase which will be either black or white. The black Wii Wheel will also go for $9.99 separately

They have also announced Nintendo Selects which will be there best sellers/greatest hits line that will go for $19.99 for any game in that group.

You also have to think with this price drop they will introduce more colors like they did with the GameCube so maybe a sliver, pink, blue or red color option maybe? This officially makes the Wii $100 cheaper than the Nintendo 3DS which probably by the holiday season a price cut will come for that too. At PAX East we got some hands on time with another 3DS title that is one of Nintendo’s oldest franchises making a comeback Pilotwings Resort.

Pilotwings Resort takes place on WooHoo island from Wii Sports Resort. In this demo we are flying a plane around the island and hitting different information icons.  The controls are don with the analog stick and buttons. Pretty fun game from my own testing with and without the 3D.
