Verizon Release the HTC Droid Eris

Today is the day you can order and pick up the one of the first Google Android based phone.  the HTC Droid Eris which is is Verizon’s version of the HTC Hero that is currently on Sprint.  Its available today for $99 on a 2 year agreement.  Click inside for specs.

HTC announced Android 2.0 will be available for the HTC Hero

  HTC announced via their twitter account that Android 2.0 will be made available to the HTC Hero. They will skip 1.6 and will go straight to work on developing HTC Sense to work with Android 2.0. Lets hope that all device will get the 2.0 update to keep this uniform among all android phones.
