The newest addition to the family rocks a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel rear facing camera with 1080p HD video capture, 16 GB of build-in storage with support for up to 32 GB microSD card external storage. The phone will be on sale starting November 6 for $249.99 with a two-year contract. Seems like this is the US version of the Samsung LTE announced a couple months back.  Looks like that original Galaxy S2 is going to lose a bit of shine.

This is really f’d up for the people who invested in a SGSII just a few days ago.  This is why every electronic should have a solid scripted release schedule.  Consumers deserve a fair chance when deciding to purchase electronics.  I’m so sick of these marketing games that companies play.

NOTE: I am on T-mobile so this is really just me feeling for other people.

I got the SGS2 and sent it right back when the SGS2 Skyrocket was announced. Both phones were announced within 30 days, So the refund is covered under AT&T’s policy.  It would have been different if they announced the Skyrocket after the 30 day trial period.  I am really looking forward to getting the Skyrocket after having the opportunity to try the original SGS2 for free like this.  SGS2 is arguably the best smartphone ever made, and I just fell in love with it.  I couldn’t put that thing down.  I used it until the batteries run out over and over again.  I can’t wait for the Skyrocket.

    AT&T
has their HSPA network, but it is their LTE network that I know many people are
looking forward to. Since these phones are the first actual phones to run on
it, I think they will be a big thing. Personally I like the Skyrocket. I have
had a better time with Samsung phones that with HTC. The LTE will be great for
streaming movies and shows. I use the DISH Remote Access app from my employer
DISH Network. I like it because it lets me stream recorded shows and even live
TV from my DVR to my phone anywhere I am! So I would like to see about getting
an LTE phone when my current contract is up.
