Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has announce today that a new XBOX 360 will be available with the “natural interface” and built in camera. The exact release date is unknown but it will be available in 2010. Current Xbox 360 will not be left out in the cold as they will be able to get the same Project Natal technology as the new console would.
Microsoft will use the launch of this new system as a re-launch of the Xbox 360. It looks like this system from what it sounds like will be geared to the causal gamer market that Nintendo is currently dominating at the moment.This looks to be a system that will want to claim some of that shelf space that current Wii owners have their Wii occupied it. Lets see what details spill out over the next year heading into the systems launch.
