Earlier this week Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy Note 5. The Note 5 is the 5th generation of the Galaxy Note series of smartphones that started the phablet crazy. Here are 5 good features about the Note 5 you should know about.
Galaxy Note 5 has improved build quality
The Note 5 has improved build quality by taking design cues from the Galaxy S6 with a metal and glass design. The Galaxy Note typically has a more premium design but now its taken a step up and gone into the luxury feel. This new design does sacrifice the removable battery and micro SD card slot however. These two items have been two big staples of Samsung’s Galaxy brand of smartphones. I will say that this isn’t as big of a deal for me these days but I can see it bothering some users.
The S-Pen improves with a new trick
The S-Pen is what makes the Galaxy Note what it is. Updates to the S-Pen include a new click button on the top of the pen that lets you slide it out from the bottom of the phone. The S-Pen is also beefed up a bit so it feels more like a ball point pen in the hand. There are also new software features to match with the S-Pen like being able to pull the S-Pen out and being able to take a note with the screen off and save it. There are even more feature which you can see in the video.
Upgraded Camera with live YouTube Streaming
The camera has been upgraded to the same 16 Megapixel camera found in the Galaxy S6. The two main changes are now VDIS to go along wit OIS for better video stabilization when recording and the biggest feature which is direct live YouTube streaming right from your phone. The Live YouTube streaming app will connect directly to your YouTube account and works similar to the Periscope live streaming app. I can’t wait to try this out being a YouTuber and connect with my audience this way will be fun.
Fast Wireless charging
One of the reasons I never liked used wireless charging was due to how slow it was. Well Samsung has fixed that with the Note 5 which has Fast Wireless charging included and will charge your phone fully in 2 hours.
Samsung Pay Coming August 28th To the US
We finally get a solid date for Samsung Pay to come to the US. A feature that will not only in the Galaxy Note 5 but also the S6 Edge Plus, S6 Edge and S6. The payment system works with both NFC based system and MST system (credit card magnetic swipes) giving Samsung Pay at least 90% compatibility and already works with tons of big banks and credit card companies.
So are you going to get a Galaxy Note 5? If these 5 reasons can’t help you decide check out the spec list for more.
