HTC’s latest offering, the DROID Incredible 4G LTE, falls into the mid-range category for Verizon’s already beefy smartphone line up. With its uniquely designed backing and HTC One S roots internally, the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE is definitely a device that can give you a bang for your buck.
Coming in at a fair price of $149.99, the Incredible 4g provides high tiered specs in a minimized package. Packing a S4 dual-core 1.2ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of Ram, crisp 4.0 inch SuperLCD display, and 8 megapixel camera capable of recording in 1080p HD; how this device falls into the mid range category is beyond me. Being a smartphone on Verizon automatically gives it 4g LTE data speeds these days (hence the name) so your rest assured of two very important factors. Coverage and reliability. Not to mention speeds that make your home broadband network look like child’s play!
First initial impressions of the Incredible 4G LTE are promising. It’s compact feel in the hand, updated software in ICS 4.0/HTC Sense 4.0, and overall day to day use is consistent with the hardware. Sadly, the trend in the mobile industry is becoming all too apparent. OEM’s and Carriers correlate screen size with the overall value of a device. I can’t really argue with them since it means better subsidized devices for consumers, but ultimately, this mean devices similar to the Galaxy Note get more marketing ammunition which let’s smartphones like the DROID Incredible 4g LTE slip under the radar.
