Cowon fans eager to upgrade to the hyped up Cowon S9 are going to have to wait until ‘09 to get their hands on it. A recent press release from Cowon’s Korean website stated a US release delay but also provided some new photos of the device and the GUI as well. Engadget.com has translated it and has the photos up on their site.

With it already a few more weeks until the new year and this holiday season being more Phone crazy than any other product out there it would make sense to delay US release into 2009 when people have plenty of gift cards to spend.
