LG is stepping their game up when it comes to smartphones in the U.S. with the release of the LG Optimus G. Traditionally they have cater to the mid-range smartphone buyer in the U.S. and most of their high-end phones were international release only. The Optimus G is the beginning of LG competing in the high-end U.S. market against competitors like Samsung, Motorola and HTC. The AT&T version differs a bit from the international model but many of the phones specs remain the same with a 4.7 inch IPS HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2 GB of RAM, 4G LTE and Android 4.0 ICS with LG’s Optimus UI. The difference is a 8 Megapixel rear facing camera instead of 13 megapixel and a micro SD card slot that includes 16 GB of storage. This one also has a smooth back finish unlink the original one that has more of a rigid finish. Check out the unboxing and stay tuned for our review.
